Vision and Purpose

As HR Manager you will be up to date on legislation and HR policy to provide the advice required to navigate any HR issues effectively.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing HR advice and service to the managers and staff. Accountable for maintaining and implementing HR plans, systems, processes, policies, and procedures.

You would be required to collaborate with managers on HR issues and provide HR subject matter expertise in the areas of: workforce planning, recruitment, retention, engagement and analytics and reporting strategy.

Your duties will include:

* Implementing HR strategies and associated measures to continuously improve CMC.
* Developing our employee value proposition supporting our overall strategy.
* Providing expert advice on HR matters, including employment law, employee relations, progression, reward and recognition, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
* Maintaining HR policies and procedures.
* Supporting our resourcing team in our recruitment process.
* Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of our people.
* Overseeing the assessment of training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
* Maintaining our HR related data and recommending continuous improvements to records management and reporting.
* Overseeing and manage a performance appraisal process that drives high performance.
* Reporting to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
* Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
* Leading in areas of our internal social value working groups.
* Assessing the training and development needs and gaps of our staff.
* Bridging management and employee relations by addressing disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, retirements, etc.

Responsibilities and Skills

* Personable and highly effective communicator.
* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
* Proven working experience as a HR Manager or other senior HR role.
* Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
* Problem solving and decision-making.
* Demonstratable experience with HR metrics and effective actions.
* Able to work independently.
* Strategic thinking and analytical, leadership and management skills.
* Flexible and happy to assist our great team.
* Desirable: experience of working for a consultancy business.
