The opportunity!
CMC is looking for a talented Business Analyst with active DV (MoD sponsored) security clearance to join our client’s dynamic team, located in London. Step into a role where your expertise as a Business Analyst can make a real and immediate impact. This opportunity places you at the heart of a major transformation programme, a high-profile, fast-moving environment where your analytical thinking and problem solving skills will help shape the future of critical Defence sector capabilities.
You’ll be joining a dynamic client team in London, working onsite as part of a multi disciplinary group of professionals who value collaboration, innovation, and clarity of thought. You’ll be influencing programme wide decisions, driving requirement overhauls, and helping to refine processes that underpin some of the UK’s most significant transformation efforts.
If you’re motivated by complex challenges, thrive in stakeholder rich environments, and want to contribute to work that genuinely matters, this role offers an exciting platform to do just that. With a 4-day working pattern and the chance to operate in a mission critical setting, it’s an opportunity to bring your skills to a programme where your input will have tangible, programme level impact.
What You’ll Do?
The role includes delivery focusSed activities, such as:
* Managing a complex overhaul of the programme requirements set, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with evolving programme objectives.
* Coordinating this overhaul concurrently with system engineering activities, requiring close and continuous liaison with stakeholders across the programme.
* Creating and managing a criticality assessment exercise and developing the strategy used to refine, prioritise, and sequence all requirements.
* Leading multiple process refinement workstreams, including the development of a supplier risk assessment framework to strengthen programme governance and delivery confidence.
About you
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience:
* Applying a range of business analysis skills and techniques to solve complex problems across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Assessing and gathering the business requirements and supporting documentation such as process flow diagrams.
* Working within a client facing consultative environment, ideally in the Defence sector
* Working on transformation projects.
* Expertise in identifying issues, performing gap analysis, evaluating alternatives, and implementing effective solutions to drive project success.
* Knowledge of various analytical techniques and methodologies including agile principles and practices.
* Candidates must hold active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.
Ideally, you will also demonstrate the following:
* Experience of modelling techniques/notations such as UML, use cases, entity models, data and information models, process models/swim lane diagrams, etc.
* Experience of different strategic analysis techniques within complex stakeholder environments.
* BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, or other formally recognised professional qualifications e.g. CBAP, BCS Foundation in Business Analysis
Applicants should be aware that notwithstanding any level of clearance, successful candidates will also be subject to an HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check
